Muay Thai is a Thai Martial   art with legs and hands. Muay Thai believed as a martial art for protect Thai Nation from Neighboring countries invasions such as Burma, Cambodia, Laos, Vietnam. In Old days Muay thai practiced as a compulsory Marital art for Thais soldiers.

In Thai History, Muay Thai take important part for Thai Protection in 1584 in the time of King Naresuen from that day Muay Thai continued to an import fighting method till today.

Because extreme popularity of Muay Thai now its spread to all over the world. Also Now of these days Thai people are willing to teach this great fighting method for self protection, peace, self control to any foreigners.

Wai Khru or Ram Muay

Wai Khru means “Wai” Means respect Khru” means teacher and Ram Muay means boxing dance(Ram means dance and Muay means Boxing” This Kick style boxing always has its classic style. Like “Wai Kru” ”Ram Muay” its like a wonderful peacock dance to show respect to the Muay Thai Master, before the fight starts. Its performing with classic thai music instruments with music.

Also “Wai Kru” is like a warm up exercise before the fight starts. Wai Khru history is in old days Muay thai performed in front of kings. They asking forgiveness for the brutality in the fight, also they are praying to their God for self protection. Wai Khru performs both fighters. Sometimes both fitghters perform together some times each Muay thai fighter.

Muay Thai Exercises

Muay Thai need lot of physical fitness. Main exercises in muay thai are Shawdow boxing(boxing to to air in the mind that there is person in front),running without stop at least 3 kilometer(not at the first stage of exercise thai boxing), rope skipping, Sand Bag Punching, sparring(kicking without stopping), weight resistance  and strengthen exercises, ball exercises, abdominal exercises is main for strengthen the ribs and can save the ribs born from kick .

Some the Muay Thai exercise has a very good protection pads so there is safe.

Now Mauy Thai is an International sport event, even Olympics added Thai Boxing as a sport event.And more than 100,000 students travel to Thailand various provinces to learn this wonderful Martial art.The movies like “Kick boxer” starred by Jean Cloude Van Dame etc are filmed in Thailand and Thai boxing based movies and made world wide hit because of this unique wonderful style of Muay Thai kick Boxing.
